So you want to "like" the LocalArtsLive Facebook page but you'd really prefer your newsfeed to just show information from friends and family?  There's now a way to do this.  I recently created an interests list that includes all the Facebook pages I know of that are related to classical music in Phildadelphia.  To start using the list and separate the news from those pages from your newsfeed follow these steps:

1.  Subscribe to the Classical Music in Philadelphia list.

2.  The list will appear under "Interests" but you can click on the pencil to make it a favorite.

3.  If you "liked" any of the pages in the list, go to those pages and hover over "liked" then uncheck "Show in Newsfeed".

4.  When an update appears from the list in your newsfeed, click on the arrow on the right and select "Hide Story".

If you know of other pages that should be included in this list, please write on the LocalArtsLive Facebook page and include a link or tag.  Of course you can use this same trick to create your own lists for other interests.  Interest lists are not available for pages yet, but if they do become available, I will likely recreate the list there and ask everyone to re-subscribe to the new list.
